The Experiences of Management in Attending Hospital System

Abstract
Purpose: This study was to find the experiences of management for attending hospitals in staffs of the attending hospitals and attending physicians. We intended to explore ways to improve the attending hospital system.

Methods: Twelve participants were recruited using the purposive sampling method: 7 staffs and 5 attending physicians in seven cities. Qualitative thematic analysis for data analyzing were adopted.

Results: The experiences of management for attending hospital consisted of: Realizing the positive impact of the health care system through efficient use of resources, Impact the success or failure of management on positive mutual cooperation between attending hospitals and physicians, Difficulty of management due to burden of attending hospital staffs, Confusion caused by the lack of awareness of staffs concerned, Being a stumbling block in management of system related to non-separated medical fee between attending hospital and physician, and Getting mutual burden by the ambiguity of sharing responsibility in medical disputes.

Conclusion: Attending hospital system is that can establish health care delivery system in cost and effective way. To activate the attending hospital system in the future, it is necessary to improve the medical fee system, to allocate the responsibilities in medical disputes and to improve the related laws.
